Where Relackout leads

  • Run Relackout's lighting engine on your desktop without a LightShark console.
  • Send Art-Net and sACN directly from Relackout instead of buying LS hardware.
  • Choose monthly, yearly or lifetime licensing in Relackout, with a 14-day free trial.

Where LightShark is strong

  • The console continues running lighting if a browser-control device disconnects.
  • Browser operation works across computers, phones and tablets without client installation.

Relackout includes its own music and song-lighting workflow.

Both

Compare cue operation on the actual small-theatre production before changing systems.

House of worship

Both

LightShark's browser interface and Relackout's browser remote both support mobile operation.

Events venue

Both

LightShark suits fixed hardware installations; Relackout suits desktop venue Workspaces.

Touring / large rig

Frequently asked questions

Is LightShark a desktop application?

Its interface runs in a browser, but the lighting engine runs on dedicated LightShark hardware. Relackout runs the engine on the desktop.

Can I keep controlling from a tablet?

Yes, Relackout has a PIN-protected local browser Remote. Rebuild the operator controls rather than importing LightShark layouts.

Will Relackout keep running if its host computer stops?

No such independence is claimed. LightShark's separate hardware engine is an advantage when a browser client disconnects; Relackout needs its host app running.
