Workspaces
Give every venue its own workspace: open Manage workspaces, create one, rename and recolor it, and read your plan's limit.
Running shows at more than one venue? Relackout keeps each one in its own workspace: a separate patch map, Scenes, Cue lists, mixers and connection settings, fully independent from every other workspace in the app. This guide walks you through the Manage workspaces screen — opening it, creating a workspace, renaming and recoloring one, and reading your plan’s limit.
Open Manage workspaces
Each card lists how many patches, universes, scenes, cues and mixers that workspace holds, so you can see what’s inside at a glance. Demo Venue holds the patches from earlier guides; Studio B has its own patches, Scenes and mixers — completely separate from Demo Venue’s. You can also reach this screen from Settings — the Workspaces box there has the same Manage workspaces button.
Create a new workspace
Switching between workspaces
You can switch from the bottom bar’s workspace switcher at any time, or from this screen’s three-dot menu with Open. Either way, the switch itself — the confirmation dialog that appears while output is running, and the app restart that follows — works exactly as described in A tour of the interface, so we don’t repeat it here.
Rename and recolor a workspace
Plan limits
The line below the heading on the Manage workspaces screen shows how many workspaces you’ve created against how many your plan allows, plus your patch usage (it’s blurred in this guide’s screenshots). Once you hit that limit, + New workspace becomes inactive and a warning explains that you’ve reached your plan’s workspace limit; upgrading opens room for another one.
What’s next
You can now give every venue its own workspace, open it from the bottom bar or Settings, and rename or recolor it whenever you like. Up next: Copying between workspaces, where we move Scenes, mixers and more from one workspace into another.
